About HOLY HOME

HOLY HOME is a state level not for profit and non taxable development organisation directly benefitting to children, youth, women, elders, their families and community, through welfare projects on education, healthcare, elderly care, livelihood and women empowerment, in remote villages across backward districts in Odisha of India.

It believes education is the most powerful catalyst for social transformation. Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life: As the means, it empowers an individual to earn her/his livelihood and as the end it increases one's awareness on a range of issues – from living healthy life to appropriate social behaviour and understanding one's rights – and in the process evolves a better citizen. Realizing this, HOLY HOME, beginning is the corridors of education, adopts integrated approach of development, focusing on interventions for children, youth and women, their families and for the larger community.

It focuses on education of children but education of children cannot be happened in isolation. A child will go to school, if her/his health care is assured by the parents, particularly the mother and her/his empowerment is possible if she/he can easily accesses to and holds on in schools. The empowerment continues beyond the present generation when an elder sibling is relevantly skilled to be employable and began to earn.

It strives to provide access to basic health care services to inaccessible community in backward district through outreach health care of mobile health unit and setting up dispensary facility.

It strives to achieve socio economic empowerment of women by promoting education of girls in tribal pockets in backward districts.

It strives to build skill among youth & women in order to enhance employability and to earn their livelihood by non traditional means.

HOLY HOME believes that unless members of the civil society are involved proactively in the process of development, sustainable change happens rare. It sensitizes and educates to engage the civil society for making it an active partner in their welfare.
